In accordance with Spanish legislation, each woman can undergo fertility treatment with a donor’s sperm regardless of her sexual orientation and civil status.

The most adequate treatment depends on the patient’s age and previously done fertility study. Before starting the treatment, it is always necessary to carry out a number of tests and based on their results the doctor can assess the hormonal levels and indicate the best treatment option.

There is a possibility to have a treatment called “shared maternity”. In this treatment, the eggs of one woman in the couple are fertilised with the donor’s sperm and the embryos are transferred to the uterus of the other woman.
