Nowadays, many patients come to our centre seeking professional help to achieve their desire for pregnancy.
\nWithin the multidisciplinary team that works in the assisted reproduction units, the nursing team plays a very important role, getting involved with each patient until the end to give them a personalised treatment and accompany them during all stages of treatment.
\nWe are in charge of maintaining continuous and close contact with our patients, coordinating their care and communication with the rest of the centre’s professionals. We educate, inform and resolve their doubts in order to try to reduce the stress and anxiety that can be caused by undergoing assisted reproduction treatment.
\nFurther below, we give in detail our functions in Centro M\u00e9dico Manzanera.
\nASSISTENTIAL
\n– Assistance in consultation rooms and the surgery unit.
\n– Assistance during inseminations and embryo transfers.
\n– Emotional support.
\n– Health education. We teach our patients to use the medicines correctly.
\n– Blood extractions.
\n– Pre-surgery and post-surgery care.
\nMANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATION
\n– Management of the patient\u2019s medical history.
\n– Receipt of medical test results.
\n– Email management.
\n– Organising the work agendas of all specialists (gynaecology, embryology and anaesthesia).
\n– Submitting orders.
\n– Expiry control of the stock.
\n– Donor and egg bank management.
\n– Obstetric follow-up of all our patients.
\nSCIENTIFIC
\n– Data collection.
\n– Research.
\n– Course attendance.
\n– Giving classes at schools.
\n– Collaboration with Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) and ANACER.
\n– Poster presentation and congress attendance.
\nOur nursing team works every day to provide personalised, patient-centred care. We help couples to integrate into the treatment process and experience it in the most natural way possible.
